Shea
One day I was riding a very tall horse named Shadow out at the farm. She's a really good horse, but she's young and has only had a little bit of training. Shadow was taking me down a road when i decided i wanted to turn her into the field next to it. As we were turning she tripped and fell flat on her nose. I was thrown over her head but somehow amazingly heald on to her and ended up landing right back in the saddle!

After that happened Shadow was jumpy all day. Whenever I popped her on her hindquarters she would jump and start to jolt. After that day I was nervous whenever I was asked to ride her. I would try to avoid having to. About a week later when I did get back on her she was amazing!

I was so happy to know that one day of bad riding didn't effect how she usually was, now i've learned that when you fall out of the saddle, even metaphorically, you need to hop right back on. You never know, your horse might just surprise you!

I have a Horse in real life his name is Doodle. Doodle is a 7 year old Friesian Gelding.

We have had him since birth his  mom who we used to own also a Friesian sadly died 4 months ago. Doodle is a Black Friesian. He has Blue Eyes we ride english, but   we are learning western! I do Show Jumping and Dressage with him. My Fave gait is the gallop I an 12 years old I have been riding for 11 years. My first horse was a Shetland ponyI Only leased him though.

Dear clip clop club: my name is Sharayah, i ride lots of horses and ponies! i am saving up for my very own!, i once rode a horse named Bella she was sooo sweet! but i cant ride her now :( but i still ride horses once i rode this pony i think it was a shetland his name is Dudly he lives at a barn my dads frend Peter Pete for short owns some of the horses there and just visits with his and my dads other frendAlison Ally for short.

Dudly is an awsome pony! i got to do fast trots in western tack oh and after i rode him i rode this really BIG! huge horse named i think Golly, he was gray and was gorgess! he was huge but very frendly. Bella had a horse frend that was bigger then her to. I rode him somtimes his name is Hummer but we call him Biggie.

My first horse back ride was when i was two we took me to a barn were it had a lovelly horse named Gently men. pamaloosa appaloosa, i never stopped using sydney the horse lover. And when i said my new subject is boys, i didn't meen that was my only subject, i meant it's the newest thing in my life. trust me the whole boys thing is over. I'm discouraged and scared to tell him. i'm just gonna give up on boys. except as my buds. and horses in your posting, trust me there is not one minute of the day when horses aren't in my head. during math at school, i don't actually think about the math. i just write it down but visions of mustang herds are flying around in my head. trust me i am a spaced out girl. almost every book in my book case is about horses. and when i get really spaced out, well i'm really glad my teacher's extra nice! when we were having a discussion, (this was a long time ago so i don't really remember much)i was OUT hadn't heard a word, until i heard the word frog. and apparently we had been talking about predators and prey, and i had been daydreaming about riding lessons. i raised my hand and said, "Does Soliel's frog need to be cleaned out?" you know the inside of her foot? hahahahahaha everybody looked at me like i was made out of bread and butter. and my teacher said, "Sydney, is soliel that horse you rent?" i said yes and she asked what a frog was so i told her and she said,"soliel is at her barn right now most likely and you're in class. we're talking about the something or what not and it's prey, wich just happens to be frogs!" i was so embarrased!!! well this is getting long, but who thinks thats funny? does anyone want to hear anymore stories like that? theres a lot more! oh, pamaloosa appaloosa, don't worry, i'm 100 percent horse girl! can we be friends?

Jaggs, this is my first time on this website,and i don't know what i going to write so i'll just start with on how i got horse CRAZY! it all started with my friend who took riding lessons, i all ready loved horses so i tried it out. Frist i sarted with beginers riding, soi rode a old horse naned Tamara she is know thity-six years old andstill being riden! then i started beginers volting, which was great! Today I'am in Advance volting and riding a 15 year old,Thourbred (he'sbay), named JAVY!

I WILL HAVE CHICKENS AND A MOLLY COW AND A CUTE FARM GOG PROBABLY A COLLIE OR A BORDER COLLIE BUT WHO KNOWS ANDI WILL LOVE IT AND THEN I WILL HAVE ANOTHER FURRY FRIEND AND I WILL LOVE THEM THE SAME BUT I DO NOT KNOW WICH KIND OF DOG. AND A FEW BARN CATS.

Its sooooooooo sad how they had to put her down in front of everyone at the race course. I didn't even know the filly, but I miss her anyway.

Hello all of the horsegirls out there! I really love horses alot. Also i like pegasauses and unicorns. I wish i had a horse or pony of my own. But i live in the city and can't have one. But my uncle shann [thats pronounsed shon] he has a horse named Duke. He is a big brown horse. I really like Big Brown the race horse. I was cheering for him at home! I hope he wins altogether. P.S. I miss Barbaro and EightBelles. :(

Megan, the reason everyone wants big brown is because it's the triple crown. and he won the first 2 races. if he wins the next one he'll have won all three wich is really hard. and a horse hasn't won all three since 17 years ago! so its like history! i wish we learned that in history class!

Once when i was 6 i wanted  a horse so i schooled his named Perry.Her as 25 and wen i turned 8 i got my own horse and all week i have horse show.

When I got my horse he was as sweet as a kitten, but little did we know he had a habit of biting. It was really wierd. One time I was trail riding in the woods day dreaming and behind a tree was this really cute guy and his horse Donut. He said hi and it scared me so much that I screamed and my own horse bucked me off, and I fell on top of him!!!

One time I rode a horse named beau and I tried to buck me off three times when i was riding! the last time he bucked like ten times in a row and I finally fell off!I had a sore bottom for a while! I have been on clip clop club be for as anna the wanting horse horse lover but now i'm just anna! I have not been to Clip Clop Club for over two months!

I would say calm down about it and just chill out and don't spaz out, That is the worst thing to do. Just ignore evryone asking you and tell them so you probaly have a crush on someone to!! Or just ignore them tell them so what I do not care what you say. And make sure Brandon is a nice guy. If he really is nice and finds out about it hopefully he'll just stay quiet about  it. If not you know he is not the right guy for you!!!

P.S. The look was flirty and today i went over there house he smiled at me kinda flirty and asked if I could go to there baseball practice I wanted to but there mom said no :(! Well I had a spaz put today Hannah and Bella 2 little second graders we were playing tag with told Chris I like him when I dont!!!! I am 8 years old.  I had my first horseback ride on my 8th birthday, April 5th.  I rode a horse called Weaver.  He liked the sound of music from a wedding nearby, and tried to bring me there, but I guided him back to the trail.  My favorite racehorse is Seabiscuit, and Eight Belles.

3 days ago I was feeding my horse and i stumbled and landed in the back of another horse. He got spooked and brouhgt his leg up and poped me in the nose and thigh. i had to go to the ER and found out that I was lucky because I didn't break my nose and my thigh was badly bruised but didn't care i still love horses!

There she wouldn't trust anyone whocame near her. Until one day a 10 year old girl came to the stable forher lesson.Which she to had just recovered from a broken leg. Butnothing could keep her away from horses.! When she saw how sad theApalossa was and wanted to help so as she, trained the mare she grew tolove her and. Once she was 13 the girl bought the horse.

Big brown won the kentucky derby!!!!!! i wanted him to win!!! but eight belles the filly broke her ankles and had to be put down!   : ( : ( : ( she was so pretty! Did anyone else watch the derby?
{ When I was little I saw the match race between Foolish Pleasure and Ruffian- a beautiful black filly who was as strong as the boys. She started out of the gate badly and was behind...then, as she was catching  up to the colt she broke down. It was terrible to see, I was devastated and remember it to this day how I felt. I was a big fan of Afleet Alex and when he stumbled in the Preakness in 2005 I said that's it! I now record (Tivo) all major races, check the news after the race is done to see if anything bad happened, if the race went smoothly then I will watch it (so, I didn't see Barbaro break his leg the instant it happened)...and yesterday I had the Derby recording, then read about Eight Belles and that was that. I couldn't bring myself to watch the Derby...but I still love horse racing-believe it or not... }

HI I want to tell a story about my old horse Teak!

I grabbed a handful of horse treats and stuffed them into my pockets,turning quickly around I uncliped the cross ties and led my horse intothe arena, once in I undid her lead rope and started to run, I heard atroting horse behind me then suddenly I heard this grunting and thuding, I turned around to see Teak looking silly and rolling around on the arena floor.

Teak was my Liver-chestnut Morgan Mare.

Bad News!!! on the kenntucky durby a horse fell and broke her 2front ankels and they immediatly euthannized her:(. I afeel so bad for those horses that fall. They are so young and do not get to live a life when they fall. she was only 3 years old and she was the black one. I only saw that race because i went to the Indians game with my dad. Leslie I think that is a great idea!

Hola my name is Lee. I live in Hawaii and my Family and I own a petting farm. We are lisenced and we have a few exotic lizards and frogs. We also have a baby Kangaroo we adopted(not ares  but in a sanctuarey.). I am 11 years old and I am in 5th grade.

My horses are Sunny a 4 year old   egyption arab mare and she is a blue roan and vry pretty and friendly. She is in are petting farm. We have 18 horses total at my barn we have horse rides and let the kids groom them and feel what it is like to own there very own horse. I want to be a Vet for a ASPCA when I am older.

My fave horse is are newest addition. His name is Buck he is a  17 year old bay quater horse. Very friendly and used for the grooming and riding. all of are horses are young exept him he is the oldest. Are 2nd oldest is a 9 year old mare. they are all tested to be kid safe.

We  always make sure are guest have a good time.we also have goats,sheep, rabbits, cats, dogs, chickens,baby ducks,roosters,cows, all the farm animals!!! We also own a  hamster. We makes ure everyone washes there hands  before and after playing with the animals. I love having this farm and building  trust with these animal sits one of the best things you can ask for -Lee

my advice would be to hang out with him a lot in school when you can so your "friend" can't be with him. If you talk with him a lot and spend time with him I am sure he will start to develop a crush on you. Also this is a big step when you become better friends not bf/gf i mean no each other better ask him for his # number. I asked for my crush Davids# number because we are really good friends, even though he knows i like like him. I asked him because i am going to a new school next year but i d not think i will be calling him.

Thanks guys, and Leslie its ok!!! My mare is doing good, and we went in a dressage show on  Monday in France and i won  4 first places and 1 2nd place. We won the special colerful ribbon. We tour a lot. I've been to England, Greece, France, New York, Kings Island, Kentucky,and thats it,. Well good luck to anyone in a horse show. I wish you the best of luck.

on a cold afternoon i went for a ride on my grey arab mia withmy friend srara on her horse Clyde. We were having a great time ridingand talking, talking and riding.we were rideing on this really bighill. then all of the sudden mia spocked and reared and caused me tofall and roll down the hill. All of the sudden i heard hooves comingdown the hill and when i looked up i saw it was mia. with some helpfrom sarah and clyde mia was able to get me back to my feet and on miaagain.

Dear Clip Clop Club,

One time I was riding my Grandma's friends horse and so sheoffered my dad a horse! Of course he said no that would be to muchmoney but then she said she would take care of her and feed her for mewhile I was gone but still he said he didnt want her spending money onsome body else. 5 days later the horse died at age 5. She had beenattacked by a mountain lion. That horse was pregnat and everboy thoughtthat the horse and baby were history. 2 years later when we were hikingwe found horse bones and smaller baby horse bones. That cougar hadgotten inside her body and killed the baby. So the lesson here is thatyou should always check that the barn door is locked and shut at alltimes and to check the ceilings for mountain lions.

But you had to be careful becausethese horses are rescue horses and they were once abused. The fun part is i filed a report on my neighbor to the Houston ASPCA because his dog was skin in bones and had a embeded collar in his neck!!! So i had to call. It was awsome cause  i ment aivestigator from the aspca, and watched her do on the spot treatment!!Also she gave me a Lollipop fpr calling in about the dog, and he didn't trust her so she asked me to round him up. She said Liza You will be a investig=ator one day after college right, because we need more hardworkers like you.  I said ofcourse anything with rescueing animals,also  she helped me find my rescue mare!!! True Story!

Hi. The nervousness is over. I got second place! It was so fantastic riding MY horse in a show, and we had a treat when we got home,they are a mixture of carrots and apples. I invented them! I've always been to a horse adventure in Florida,and in a club (a family fun amusement park)I always wanted a pet , but I've never gotten one.I always look at the horses I see everyday , but it seems that God is trying to show me that I'm gonna have a horse as a pet.I told my mum, but she said that there wasn't any luxury for that.

I felt so bad that it was July 2nd , and my birthday was almost approaching , all I wished for was a pet. July the 6th had already come, it was a big birthday bash I wasn't really happy because I had no pet, when everybody went ,I opened all the gifts , I was greatful , but not happy.When my mum saw me crying in my room , she ca me in with a very large pink , wrapped box , I knew she was trying to make me happy with my best colour (pink), but I was so wrong I opened it and saw a huge pink  stuffed horse doll. I was so happy even though I couldn't get a real pet , I was even happy , I thanked my mom so much that I hugged her for the first time of that day.I learnt my lessons that it's not everything that's rosy in life.Thanks.

I have a horse named Pat.  She is black with  white spots.  Pat loved carrots and apples.  Every day after school I would ride her and we go over to the park and play.  we would play tag I would train her al ittle bit.  One day when I was riding her one day she stoped really fast and she shoot in the air and she went naaaaaaaa!  and then I got of her to see what it was and nothing was there so I turned back to get back on her and she wasn't there and I saw her running away so I chased her and when stoped I ran home and told my mom and she said she will help me so she grabed a flash light and a gun just in case so we ran out the front door and we ran into the woods we olmost got her and then over in the other side of the we caght her. and we also had a rope so we put the pope aroud her neck and we losend it up and then we broght her home. hi, after this emmbarrassing story i permanently changed my name to poopy. so i was  at horse camp and almost all the horses in front of me were pooping.instantly a moose ran across our riding trail. it must of scared my horse because he reared and guess what?well then i'll tell you i fell off in a pile of fresh poo.(do you see the resemeblance from my story to my new name?)     BYE!!

I couldn't believe it when my uncle told me that he was giving me a horse for my birthday. It was the georgeous little filly named Flax that I had fallen in love with the minute I saw it. I just couldn't believe it. Her mother, Storm had died a month ago. Flax was only five months when she died. Storm was a white horse. We never knew her breed, but we did figure out that she had some Throughbred in her.Abba, Flax's father is a Palmino. He's very friendly. Flax is six months old now and she loves me lots. She lives at my uncle's ranch,where I ride other horses everyday. I love horses so much. Especiallymy Flax!

Wow Madi! if that happened to me, I would be freaked out! the next day, were you sore from falling? I would be. Maybe you should train Cash not to bark at cars! Also, a few weekends ago I went to visit a friend of my dads who works with him and has horses. I didn't get to ride any, but there was a mare named Wanda with a filly named Ava. The foal is brown and white. Shes sooooooooooo cute and hiper!Talk soon!

Softball is great! We had a game last night! none of the other team actually made it past second. and only once too! it was raining so we called the game short cuz our pitcher when she threw it the ball slipped and they were too high. But we beat them 7 to nothing! At the end me and my friends rolled down this hill by the field and let me tell you it was WET!!! we got soooo dirty and wet!! but it was fun! One day, my mom and I were taking my horse, Tamu, out for some grass after a long ride. He was untacked so i jumped on him backward and sat on him while he grazed. My mom was holding the leadrope and I was just sitting, brushing dirt off his back an rump. All of a sudden,the barn dog, Cash, started barking because a car was coming. That spooked Tamu! He started side passing and half-bucking! I was on backwards and had nothing to hang on to! Tamu slipped right out from under me. I fell on grass luckily. But it still hurt. So, after that,we took Tamu back to his stall and went home. This is a true story.

Hey Sydney whats up? Long time not talk for  my new unmet bestfriend!!! So how is softball? I am doing horseback riding again! Iti s awsome!!!! I am still riding sandy, but this week i might ride cheerio!!! i am so exited to ride him for some reason!!!

I feel like sandy boosted my courage, but i have not had the best week, My dog got hit by a car...ouch. He is fine no broken bones, or internal damage. He got  hit on his hip and has some wounds, and bruces but he will be fine soon, but leslie pray for him please, and clipclopclub pray for him thanks!

Once upon a time there was a wild pony.His name was Max.He loved to hang out with his friend and go for walks together.One day he heard people coming to capture him and his friends.Then when they came up close he started to run for his wild life.And then he found a rope around his neck and he started to rear up and go crazy.

The next day he woke up and he was locked up in a stall.Then he got really mad.Then his new owner came.They tried to put a halter on him and he wouldn't let him.Then Max gave up.Then he was led to the riding ring and tied tight to a post.Then his back started to hurt.It was that saddle on his back.Then the owner took off the halter and put on the bridle.He did not like the bit.Then the rider got on his back and he was a good wild horse to ride.Then Max became a great horse for the rest of his life and he was always ride able.

Hey guys!! i just wanted to say why i liked the quarter horse!! It can run faster than the thoroughbred for a quarter mile, and then are excelent jumpers and steeplechasers, and if they're not going there full speed they can go on for days (with rest) in a tough place to walk or trot or canter! Plus, the fastest horse ever lived was a quarter horse! Ok sorry just thought someone might think thats all thats cool!! ttyl

Hi everbody! Sorry I don't write much. I'll try to do it more!

on my way to geting my new horse lacey are wheel on the traler start's to smoke thats when a lady in a red jeep and she say's " mam your wheel is smoeking."  so my mom turns into a mall and calls a traler repar company and we wait half an hour for them to come and then we where told that are wheel was jamed. so all i have to do while he fixs the wheel the only thing i get to do is whatch. so i sit there and whatch for about 6 hr. then my mom pay's $400.00 and we go and we finale get there at 11:00P.M.  and it take's about an hour to get her in the trailer then on the way back to the house we stop at tacobell and fill the car whith gas then we go home and put the horses in the trailer.

Sydney. Howrse does not cost money. To feed your horse you have equs which is your money there. You have test and riding levels.  You take a test, and after you pass you get a job. I ride Paso Fino horses.Ive been riding for a few months but horses totally rule my life. In my class at school there are only 3girls. I taught them everything i know about horses, and now my friends are begging me to take them riding. We are always reading books together and learning all we can about horses. i LOVE riding horses.  I've gone riding about three times. the first two times i rode a fleabitten or dapple grey arabian. he didn't like me much because he didn't know me. his name was Bailey.  the last time i rode, i rode a pregnant bay quarter horse. She liked me much better. She let me cantor twice! YAY!! i learned alot when i went riding. i learned that even though western riding is more dangurous, itis much more fun.

When I  was in Germany I went to my Aunts house for a few days and she has 6 horses so I rode them all the time. When I came back to Florida my mom asked me want I want to do for a hobby and I said horseback ride really happy! Then she went on the internet and found a German horse stable so we went on Tuesday. I was so happy to she the pony I was going to ride. So the owner brought me to a horse named Romeo! So I pet Romeo and went for a lesson I had so much fun that It old mt mom I want to do this forever and so I am riding Romeo still and I love it!

Peppermint Patty is driving me nuts! He is really acting up alot! I talked to my instructor about him but he refuses to assign me to another horse in the middle of the week. My friends got better horses. Mario is the horse my friend Delila got assigned to. He is a bay gelding and he is really sweet. My friend Harriet got assigned to Dragon, a red roan stallion.TTYL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi guys, i`m soooo sorry that I haven`t been on in a while.Carrot Cake and Triton are doing great. As for Dancer, well, I haven`t been assigned to her for the pony club for a while. I am riding a four year old black gelding this week named Peppermint Patty, and he`s really disobidient. He nips a lot too. Any advice? Do any of you guys have webkinz? I have the, brown dog, pinto, gray arabian, black fresian, kangaroo, velvety elephant, american cocker, bulldog, yellow lab, reindeer, pug, black bear, turtle,  and the husky. Got to go! TTYL!!!!

you guys will never guess what happened! Amy called me last night( she was away at a three day event with Rascal) and she said that Rascal has colic. I was soooo upset. Amy said a vet is treating him, but I am still so sad. I cried myself to sleep last night. Please pray for Rascal.Nellie is home for spring break so she is riding Jango a lot again. That means I can focus my time on trail rides with Pepper and long training sessions with Daffodil. I really miss Rascal though. If he gets better, I want to tell Amy that I don`t want her taking Rascal to shows anymore, but I don`t want to hurt her feelings. Any suggestions Leslie? Also, my parents keep talking about how it`s so sad that Amy doesn`t have a horse and how I should give Rascal to her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

last year i went to horse camp. I was paired with a Paso fino stalloin named Root beer. we had lots of fun. I learned how to canter in one week. the  next week tragity struck. root beer died of cancer. I will never forget my first horse
