My uncle told us a story of when he and some cowboy pals wentwild horse chasing on the San Rafael. well, a beer was left on a truck tailgate and his horse grabbed between his teeth, tipped it up and drank it! the guys thought it was pretty cool, so they gave him more.beer has oats in it, so thats why the horse, Prez, liked it. well anywho. after about six he started to wobble around and break the bottles in his teeth. the way he walked was so hilarious, my uncle said he almost died laughing. on this day, ol' 18 yr old Prez is a healthy 'non alcoholic' gelding and seems to be proud of it!

One day i was riding with a friend that i no longer have. wewere riding and she was on her brand new horse that she had justgotten. sorry i must shed a tear now!! anyways all of the sudden acougar jumped out of the bushes!! and then it attacked her!! all i cansay is she WAS the best friend i ever had!! and obviously now i have nofriend anymore!! i love you babe!

I just bought a new horse that was only 4 and she was a beauty.she was the first blue roan i have ever had. she was so fast andcontrolable. i loved her. we were riding up a hill and all the suddenan earthquake rummbled. the horse fell atop me and i could not breath.she died instantly. :( i hate telling you this story but i have toexpress mysellf. well now i have no horse but my mom just bought me acat. i love her more than i will EVER love that dumb horse.

Im writing this as ive been around horses for years. its so good to hear you are as confident as your are and i hope and pray you remain as confident as you are. and never have any misshaps.
I had my own riding school and taught english was never afraid of anything in fact id ride anything the harder the ride the more i loved it. till one day i met a horse that really taught me a lesson he was a cold back, he had more in him than a bucking bronco enough said always be aware of what is going on .

Megan, here's advice for being nervous while riding. Remember horses won't hurt you on purpose, unless they're defending themselves. If you get nervous, then your horse will know. If your horse is experienced, then you're still in charge but you should trust your horse to know what he/she is doing so you shouldn't get in her/his way. I learned that from Laverne because she is a former champion jumper/show horse and she's 20 years old. In the jumper couses she immediately turns five years old sometimes. She is very smooth and moves perfectly.

OK, you guys, im so upset at the moment
So, i started riding at this place and it is amazing!! but the thing is i have zero confidence when it comes to riding. SO, me and my friend ride together, and well im better than she is until it comes to confidence. SO, we were doing a group canter, but i didn't want to cause as you can tell, i was nervous cause we once did a group canter and a girl got bucked by the horse in front and she broke her leg,arms, and neck. so obviously i was scared so i sat out. and this group was very easy, so i could have moved up, but my friend is already moving up although she could have stayed with me. so shes moving onto a more advanced group WITHOUT me, and i am such a better riding than her.AND its only two more lessons. and i am so upset! any ideas on confidence boost??oh and i waited for her, like i was in the beginner group, when i couldve been in the advanced. but i waited for her. so... yeah, everyone((leslie too please)) whats ur input/ideas for confidence boost?
(I'm not a very confident rider myself so I don't know if I can be much help. All you can do is the best you can. You don't want to put yourself in a situation where you are more scared of riding than enjoying riding. Maybe you can see if you can get some private lessons to work on the areas you are worried about. This way you track your own progress instead of measuring yourself against other riders. )

HONG KONG - In case there was any doubt, Anky van Grunsven proved earlier today that the brilliant Salinero is still number one, edging rival Isabell Werth to win the Individual Gold Medal at the Olympic Games.
Salinero scored 78.68 in the Grand Prix Musical Freestyle, enabling vanGrunsven to score the gold medal for Holland. Werth, van Grunsven'slong-time rival, had to settle for winning silver for Germany. She rode Satchmo to a score of 76.65. Heike Kemmer and Bonaparte won bronze,while American rider Steffen Peters and Ravel were fourth with a scoreof 74.455.
The individual gold medal is the topper to a lengthy resume of accomplishment for Salinero and van Grunsven. They have swept many international competitions including the European Championships, three consecutive FEI World Cups, and an individual gold medal in the 2004 Olympics.

hi um its virginia and i have a horse named kick it and he is ant very friendly he is a big meeny and i tried to sell him cause he just showed up at our door step so we just took it and we discovered later on that it was left at our door step 4 a reason lol so we treid to train it to be a circus horse and it it um didnt work then my friends and i pranked mr.grumpy our neighbor and his front door was unloked so he was on vacation and we just left the horse in his dinning room andhe wasnt fond of all the clown dolls staring at him so he destroyed the house and that is how you get rid of a horse

like, ok....one time my pony , pickles ate a potato and itdidnt like it so it spit it out on my bff serenity. she like, startedcrying witch scared my other BIG pony, tod...so he broke the latch ofthe stall door and ran away and he was missing for like 13 minnuets!! igot rrreeellly scared!! i hope it never happens agen!! hehehehe!!

OK guys, how's summer? When do you CCC girls go back to school? I am at horse camp and we will be going to Pipestave!!!((It's a bigshow over here)) o.0 LoL. So like well, do you guys watch baseball? what are ur favorite teams? Whose your favorite sports team Leslie?
{Hmm. I'm not a big sports fan but I like it when the Ohio teams like the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Indians do well. Our Seattle teams never quite get off the ground- almost good enough to be in the finals and then...nope!}

A few weeks ago, I had the time of my life riding one of my favorite horses! Her name is Harmony, and she is a beautiful bay arabian. She is old, but fun to ride. We were out in the cross country course, doing some jumps and getting to canter up the hill. She decided we would canter over the jumps, and that is exactly what she did! Okay, So this is my horse story about when I cantered for the first time! It was kinda scary, and I thought I was going to fall off,well anyways, here it is.
So, I was at The Barn, doing my chores, and when I got done I was having my lesson on my FAVORITE horse Little. And let me tell you, she is FRIENDLY.
So I was walking around on Little. And my instructor,Kathy saw these people coming into the arena, and she was like "Okay Kenzie, now Little
is REALLY FRIENDLY, So I want you to not make her go over there." And Kathy told me to kick kick kick Little. And so I did. And guess what she
did!! She started cantering!! And we were going so fast, and I was like afraid that I was going to fall off! But I didnt,LUCKILY! Anyways.. that is my story!

A memory I'll never forget was my first horse show.I was riding a fabulous horse and we entered flat classes.In every class we took first!It was amazing! Thanks to my trainer and the place that held the show and most of all my horse! =]

My uncle told us a story of when he and some cowboy pals wentwild horse chasing on the San Rafael. well, a beer was left on a truck tailgate and his horse grabbed between his teeth, tipped it up and drank it! the guys thought it was pretty cool, so they gave him more.beer has oats in it, so thats why the horse, Prez, liked it. well anywho. after about six he started to wobble around and break the bottles in his teeth. the way he walked was so hilarious, my uncle said he almost died laughing. on this day, ol' 18 yr old Prez is a healthy 'non alcoholic' gelding and seems to be proud of it!

I just bought a new horse that was only 4 and she was a beauty.she was the first blue roan i have ever had. she was so fast andcontrolable. i loved her. we were riding up a hill and all the suddenan earthquake rummbled. the horse fell atop me and i could not breath.she died instantly. :( i hate telling you this story but i have toexpress mysellf. well now i have no horse but my mom just bought me acat. i love her more than i will EVER love that dumb horse.

Im writing this as ive been around horses for years. its so good to hear you are as confident as your are and i hope and pray you remain as confident as you are. and never have any misshaps.
I had my own riding school and taught english was never afraid of anything in fact id ride anything the harder the ride the more i loved it. till one day i met a horse that really taught me a lesson he was a cold back, he had more in him than a bucking bronco enough said always be aware of what is going on .

Megan, here's advice for being nervous while riding. Remember horses won't hurt you on purpose, unless they're defending themselves. If you get nervous, then your horse will know. If your horse is experienced, then you're still in charge but you should trust your horse to know what he/she is doing so you shouldn't get in her/his way. I learned that from Laverne because she is a former champion jumper/show horse and she's 20 years old. In the jumper couses she immediately turns five years old sometimes. She is very smooth and moves perfectly.

OK, you guys, im so upset at the moment
So, i started riding at this place and it is amazing!! but the thing is i have zero confidence when it comes to riding. SO, me and my friend ride together, and well im better than she is until it comes to confidence. SO, we were doing a group canter, but i didn't want to cause as you can tell, i was nervous cause we once did a group canter and a girl got bucked by the horse in front and she broke her leg,arms, and neck. so obviously i was scared so i sat out. and this group was very easy, so i could have moved up, but my friend is already moving up although she could have stayed with me. so shes moving onto a more advanced group WITHOUT me, and i am such a better riding than her.AND its only two more lessons. and i am so upset! any ideas on confidence boost??oh and i waited for her, like i was in the beginner group, when i couldve been in the advanced. but i waited for her. so... yeah, everyone((leslie too please)) whats ur input/ideas for confidence boost?
(I'm not a very confident rider myself so I don't know if I can be much help. All you can do is the best you can. You don't want to put yourself in a situation where you are more scared of riding than enjoying riding. Maybe you can see if you can get some private lessons to work on the areas you are worried about. This way you track your own progress instead of measuring yourself against other riders. )

hi um its virginia and i have a horse named kick it and he is ant very friendly he is a big meeny and i tried to sell him cause he just showed up at our door step so we just took it and we discovered later on that it was left at our door step 4 a reason lol so we treid to train it to be a circus horse and it it um didnt work then my friends and i pranked mr.grumpy our neighbor and his front door was unloked so he was on vacation and we just left the horse in his dinning room andhe wasnt fond of all the clown dolls staring at him so he destroyed the house and that is how you get rid of a horse

A few weeks ago, I had the time of my life riding one of my favorite horses! Her name is Harmony, and she is a beautiful bay arabian. She is old, but fun to ride. We were out in the cross country course, doing some jumps and getting to canter up the hill. She decided we would canter over the jumps, and that is exactly what she did! Okay, So this is my horse story about when I cantered for the first time! It was kinda scary, and I thought I was going to fall off,well anyways, here it is.
